David Stapf, President of CBS Television Studios, will be honored with a television showman of the Year Award at the annual awards show publicist lunch on Friday before the Academy Awards
The honor was announced Wednesday by Steven Poster, President of the International Guild together and Henri Bollinger, Chairman of the Committee on Awards.
Although he is now Executive, is the former Publicist Stapf. He was in his role at this time since 2004, where he oversees program development and production of series and TV movies on CBS and cable and pay TV channels.
Stapf first joined CBS in 1999 as senior vp of programming for the current CBS Entertainment. Before that, he was senior Vice President of advertising, publicity and promotion for Warner Bros. TV. He began his career as a unit publicist for Embassy television in 1985.
