In the summer of 1956, Marilyn Monroe came to Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire to shoot the girl The Prince and The stage with Sir Laurence Olivier.
On-set diary and memoir third Assistant Director Colin Clark revealed that Monroe consistently appear the end of the set, driving to the brink of madness as Olivier production falling woefully behind schedule.
While fellow cast including Dame Sybil Thorndike appeared on, the Director and his wife leading clashed, and Clark, only 23 at the time and fresh from Oxford, becoming intermediaries, won the trust of a fragile emotional.
